England lockdown: Dental practices to remain open.
Following the PM's announcement that a third lockdown in England will come into effect from 5th January 2021, we have received confirmation from the office of the chief dental officer that dental services in England are to remain open.
The Government guidance on the national lockdown states: "The majority of public services will continue and you will be able to leave home to visit them. These include the NHS and medical services like GPs and dentists".
"Out of the blue, I had a tooth root infection & needed an extraction - the first one for 40 years! The Dentists & all the Practice Staff were most helpful, understanding & attentive, arranging timely appointments & treating me professionally & sensitively given my apprehension. Very reassuring & comforting - thank you all."
"Dentist Alex explained treatment options very well. Reassuring manner . He apologized for short wait . Afterwards young reception lady had lovely chatty manner . Slight confusion over follow up sorted ok ."
"Fitted me in at extremely short notice and dealt with the problem efficiently and surprisingly affordably. Will certainly not consider using anyone else"
"The surgery is always welcoming , from the minute step into the surgery you are welcomed by very friendly reception staff. I have never been kept waiting long for my appointment they generally run on time but will inform you at reception if not. The dentist is very informative throughout the appointment and if treatment is needed will always explain the options you have and will give their advice. They are brilliant with my children. Brilliant service everytime I have visited."
"All procedures were carried out with much care and attention inflicting the minimal amount of pain possible. I felt comfortable with all the treatment l had, every detail was explained as we proceeded through the treatments. All in all a very thorough, attention to detail and care, experience. I would recommend Benchley to anybody who is thinking of having any dental work."
